We Were Promised Jetpacks

I place a lot of stock in band names.  I think this started in the 7th grade, when a friend of mine named his band, "Plaid Cheesecake."  I just knew that wasn't going to end well.  They could've been the next Beatles, but it wouldn't have mattered.  The game was over before tip-off.

On the other hand, before hearing even a note from bands from Interpol to Sly & The Family Stone to The Civil Wars, you know they're going to be good.  And then, of course, there's the "this band's name is so terrible that they have to be good" theory, which applies to bands like Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Jr.

That brings us to We Were Promised Jetpacks.  I absolutely love this name...and luckily, my barometer was on-point.  Hope you enjoy their tunes as much as I do.
