NYTimes: The New Sound of Mexico Sung in a Nashville Accent

For those of us unfamiliar with "Chetes," Sunday's New York Times introduces us to the instantly likable music of 26 year-old Gerardo Garza (aka "Chetes") of Monterrey. The online article includes previews of three songs from the new album, Blanco Facil, recently recorded in Nashville with Ken Coomer (of Wilco and Uncle Tupelo fame). Definitely worth a listen.
