If music by Scotland's Paolo Nutini and the Dirty's Cee-Lo Green (Danger Mouse's soul machine partner in Gnarls Barkley) are any indication, the ohhh-6 summer is going to bring the soul. Pao-Lo and Cee-Lo bring it from different angles, the former unexpectedly channeling early Marvin while the latter adds that Tri-City drawwwl to some Parliament-style funk and soul. Besides an obvious nod to the late sixties/early seventies soul sounds, their common bond is that UK fans can't get enough of either of them.
